WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT UTILIZING SISTERS OF MERCY URGENT CARE

- You may be referred to the Urgent Care Center in Skyland for laboratory work that cannot be done on the WWC campus. In that case, you will only have to pay the lab test cost if the Warren Wilson clinician writes a prescription for the lab work with the ICD-9 code attached and provides a contact phone and fax number for the clinician.
If you are having an X-ray done, a doctor will read the x-ray and evaluate you in the Urgent Care office. In that case you will pay the office visit and x-ray charges and for any supplies they had to use to fix you up. If you are charged for your visit, make sure they charge you for a recheck visit (since you already saw me first.) They know to do this but sometimes forget. You should not be charged for an "initial" visit. Sisters of Mercy South in Skyland is located at 1812 Hendersonville Highway next to KMart.
- For complicated or emergency cases, you will be referred to physicians at Urgent Care or Mission/St. Josephs Hospital Emergency Services(or your own choice of medical facility). You will have to pay the costs for the care given outside the student health center.
