JSTOR - The Scholarly Journal Archive – contains complete backfiles of key journals covering anthropology, ecology, geography, history, political science, latin american studies, sociology and more. However, it generally does not include the most recent five years of a journal's issues.
GEOBASE – index of records covering the worldwide literature on geology, geography, and ecology.
Historical Abstracts – covers world history (excluding the U.S. and Canada, which are covered in America: History & Life), back to around 1450.
America History & Life – a great index w/ abstracts only (no full text), covering pre-history to the present for the U.S. and Canada.
AnthroSource – 100 years of anthropological material online, including: current issues for 15 of the AAA's most critical peer-reviewed publications
Earthscape – a wide range of information in the Earth sciences and environmental policy.
Social Sciences Package – covers sociology, political science, public affairs, etc.
Other Possibilities:
Alternative Press Index and Archive – indexes alternative, radical and left periodicals, newspapers and magazines covering cultural, economic, political & social change. Coverage is international and interdisciplinary.
Annual Reviews – full-text articles that synthesize the primary research literature in 32 focused disciplines within the Biomedical, Physical, and Social Sciences.
Arts & Humanities Search – covers archaeology and history.
Clase/Periodica – CLASE indexes documents published in Latin American journals specializing in the social sciences and humanities. PERIODICA covers journals specializing in science and technology. In their original languages, and most of these are in Spanish.
Columbia International Affairs Online – current information from the world's leading international relations centers.
Contemporary Women's Issues – full text access to global information on women.
SIRS Researcher – full-text articles exploring social, scientific, historic, economic, political, and global issues.
