This course is an introduction to the intaglio printmaking processes of collagraph, drypoint, etching, aquatint, softground, and intaglio-type. Emphasis is on developing technical skills and a portfolio of prints. Discussion of aesthetic considerations, the history of printmaking, and the care and presentation of original prints are also included.
