A continuation of ART 209, this is a project-based course designed for the student who intends to pursue a personal aesthetic and individualized body of work. Emphasis is on enabling the student to locate the source of meaningful work and to aid in its production and evaluation. Advanced darkroom and presentation techniques will be demonstrated, and critical skills will be developed through group and individual critiques. Students will produce a public exhibit of a selection of final work from this class. Each student must provide a basic 35mm camera with manual controls and will be required to purchase film and photo paper. May be repeated for credit using course number 407.
