Applies chemical principles to practical measurements. Stresses equilibrium calculations and statistical analysis. Theories of acid-base, complexation and electrochemistry are developed and applied in the laboratory to measure agricultural products, drugs, environmental pollution, etc. Gas and liquid chromatography and several types of spectrophotometry are also used. A lab fee is required.
