SWK 201 Introduction to Social Work 2cr

This course offers an introduction to the profession and practice of social work. The values and ethics of the social work profession will be examined, and the social, economic, political, and historical underpinnings and range of practice contexts will be explored. Students will perform 10 hours of service in a social service agency and will reflect on their experience as one method of determining their interest and fitness for the profession.
