SWK 305 Human Behavior and the Social Environment I: The Life Course 4cr

This course explores the concept of generalist social work from an ecological systems perspective, which emphasizes the interesting dynamics of humans with their environments. Consideration is given to the impact of human diversity, discrimination, and oppression on the individual's ability to reach or maintain optimal health and well-being in terms of bio-psycho-social development.
Prerequisite: BIO 109 Human Biology and either PSY 100 Introduction to Psychology or SOC 100 Introduction to Sociology, or permission of the instructor.
