Continues the exploration of generalist social work from an ecological systems perspective by applying the basic knowledge of life-span development acquired in SWK 305 to understanding family, group, organization, and community systems. Special attention is given to the impact of human diversity, discrimination, and oppression in the contexts of families, groups, organizations, and communities on individuals' and systems' abilities to reach or maintain optimal health, well-being, and functioning.

SWK 305 Human Behavior and the Social Environment I or permission of the instructor.
