Focuses on the development of generalist social work practice skills. Social work values, knowledge, and practice skills, as related to the helping process, will be explored. Problem-solving methods and systems perspectives in practice will be studied. Also, issues of race, class, gender, sexual orientation, oppression, and privilege will be explored within the context of effective generalist social work practice.
