This course allows advanced undergraduate writing students who may have an interest in eventually pursuing a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in writing to see a low-residency program in action. Students are present for the ten-day January residency of the College's MFA Program, where they attend readings, lectures, and the courses offered by graduating MFA students. They participate in their own writing workshop, which will extend into the third term and will entail writing and revising poetry and short fiction, reading the work of professional authors, writing critical annotations, and carefully critiquing the work of their peers. May be repeated for credit as WRI 395
