Procedures for Student Appeals and Complaints to the Office of Admission
Appeals for Admission Decisions
Before appealing, prospective students should acquaint themselves with the undergraduate admission requirements listed in a current catalog.
Prospective students wishing to appeal an admission decision should submit a written request addressed to the prospective student's admission counselor detailing information or circumstances not previously available to the College. If new information is not available, the prospective student should explain why the admission decision should be reconsidered.
The Dean will ask the admission counselor for the prospective student to present the appeal to the admission committee and the committee will make a recommendation to the Dean of Admission. The decision of the Dean is final.
Actions of the Admission Office and Staff
Current students should acquaint themselves with the complaint procedure listed in the College Catalog before proceeding with an informal or formal complaint.
Enrolled students wishing to file a complaint against a member of the staff or an action of the Admission Office should first ask to meet with the Dean of Admission to seek an informal solution. A student may address a concern or complaint in writing addressed to the Dean as well. The Dean will respond in writing within 5 working days as to the resolution of the complaint.
If the student is not satisfied with that resolution, the student should then address a letter to the President and include a copy of the original complaint, as well as the response from the Dean of Admission for the President's consideration.
