The Story Behind: A Series of Campus Images

The Old Farmer's Ball

Nothing brings the Warren Wilson community together like dancing at the Old Farmer’s Ball. Since 1993, students, faculty, staff, community members and regional dancers have come to Bryson Gym to join hands, twirl and stomp at one of the most popular weekly dances in Western North Carolina. Every Thursday the fun begins at 7:30, when novices can turn themselves into pros by getting slow-paced instruction. The music and dancing really kicks in around 8 and lasts until 11. Each week, there’s a different live band and a caller who keep the dancers in step. No partner or experience required - you can pick up both while you’re there! Come on down to the wooden Bryson Gym on a Thursday night and we’ll make sure you have a great time!
