Bus to Asheville

The City of Asheville operates a bus to and from campus that is FREE to Warren Wilson students with a student ID.

The bus (Route 170) leaves from campus regularly from the front of the College library. Traveling West, the bus goes to the downtown Asheville transit center with several useful stops in between. Traveling East, the bus goes to downtown Black Mountain. Travelers can bring a bike by loading it on the rack on the front of the bus.

Both Asheville and Black Mountain are fantastic places to spend an afternoon exploring, and there are several businesses of interest closer to campus. On the Westbound route, the bus follows Tunnel Road into Asheville and has stops convenient to the Asheville Mall, an Ingles grocery store, Rite Aid pharmacy, and the East Asheville library.

The Westbound route has stops convenient to the Amazing Savings discount grocery, Family Dollar, and several other businesses.
