Dear Warren Wilson Parents,
I'm sure you have been preparing your son or daughter for the rapidly approaching academic year. Soon, your student will come to the Swannanoa Valley to begin an enriching educational experience that combines a liberal arts curriculum, meaningful work and community service along with a strong commitment to environmental stewardship and cross-cultural studies.
In this handbook you will find important telephone numbers and frequently asked questions, as well as information on a variety of topics like academic support services, residential life and student services. I have also included a piece of writing from a former Warren Wilson parent to let you know you're not alone.
Although letting our kids do for themselves is one lesson we, as parents, have to learn, I need your help with one last form, which we hope never to use. The emergency information form is located online at http://www.warren-wilson.edu/admission/application/forms/emergency.php. You can submit the form online or print it out, complete it, and mail it to us at the address below. If you don't have online access, contact us and we'll send you a hard copy to complete and return.
If you have questions after reading the Parent Handbook, please feel free to contact me. And remember, you are now part of the Warren Wilson Community and always welcome here.
Best,
Cathy Kramer
