The Story Behind...
a series of campus images.
College and university faculty, staff and administrators from across the Southeast will convene Oct. 7 at Warren Wilson College for the 2008 Campus Climate Summit. The event is co-hosted by the National Wildlife Federation’s Campus Ecology Program.
The one-day summit, to be held in Ransom Fellowship Hall behind the College Chapel, will explore strategies and solutions for reducing campus emissions. The agenda, beginning with a welcome and introductions by WWC President Sandy Pfeiffer, includes presentations from some of the nation’s leading experts on climate change and campus sustainability.
Among those presenting will be Thomas Peterson, research meteorologist at the National Climatic Data Center in Asheville and a lead author of the Nobel Prize-winning Fourth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. His presentation is titled, “The Facts About Climate Change.”
