Thanks to all who attended this year's Homecoming
and contributed to a successful reunion weekend!

This year's Homecoming weekend was full of memorable moments.  (Click here to see a slideshow of the weekend's events.) Starting on Thursday evening with the Multicultural dinner, jazz concert and talent show, alumni and parents were able to experience the diversity of cultures that is an ongoing tradition of the College. Then on Friday, there was a chilly start to the day out on the Black Mountain Golf Course but warmed up in the afternoon for a series of events.  The ENS 30th Anniversary celebrated Warren Wilson's committment to the environment. Alan Haney, who spearheaded a number of programs during his tenure as Chair of the Environmental Studies program, chronicled the ongoing developments Warren Wilson has made in teaching best practices to its students and community members. Then, in the evening, continuing a long-standing tradition, there was the BBQ dinner and dance. Over 1,000 alumni, students, staff, faculty and parents enjoyed freshly smoked pulled pork and yummy barbecued tofu seranaded by the Warren Wilson Chorale and Whitewater Bluegrass.

Saturday was just as successful. Thanks to clear skies and warm autumn temperatures, there was also a great turnout at the Festival on the Field and soccer games.  As usual, the alumni luncheon was also well attended and those present were able to hear President Pfeiffer speak about the College and how fortunate we are to have alumni who care so much about this school.  The stories told by alumni and how the Warren Wilson experience impacted their lives in positive ways were very inspiring, and we know that tradition continues.

We hope you'll stay in touch, and if you didn't make it to this year's Homecoming, you'll consider coming to the Weekend@WWC next June or Homecoming 2009 during the first weekend in October.
