Harold V. Brookshire Scholarship

This memorial scholarship was established in 1995 by the family of the late Harold V. Brookshire. Harold’s widow, Reba Brookshire Lowman, was a 1937 graduate of the Asheville Normal and Teachers College, a "sister school" of the Asheville Farm School (which later became Warren Wilson College), and an active member of the Warren Wilson College National Board of Visitors during her lifetime. She also spearheaded the campaign that established the ANTC Scholarship at Warren Wilson. Other family members who made this scholarship possible are George Brookshire, Harold’s son, and Miss Evelyn Brookshire, his sister. This award is to go to a senior majoring in education.
