This scholarship was founded by Jack J. Prather, author of the 400-page, 134-photo book of comprehensive condensed biographies titled Twelve Notables in Western North Carolina.The purpose of this scholarship is to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate writing students enrolled or planning to enroll in Warren Wilson College.
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate writing students enrolled or planning to enroll in Warren Wilson College who have achieved satisfactory academic records or promise academic success, with preference given to students majoring or planning to major in creative writing.
This scholarship is still being funded by Jack and other supporters. If you would like to donate to this scholarship, you can give to the scholarship through this page. Designate the award to the Young Writers Scholarship.
