Today,
6-23-99, we had another very productive day. Square 10R190 was worked
on intensively, as we are trying to get through the plowzone to a layer
of soil called 'midden'.
The midden is a rich organic soil that is sometimes associated with house
floors. It is the result of the build-up of debris from people living
there.
Beverly worked
all morning flat shoveling here, and scooped up some neat artifacts.

Amy found two projectile points and a ground stone disk while sifting through
Beverly's dirt.
Since the top of level 15 has been photographed and mapped, we started
to excavate the dirt around the rock clusters and charcoal concentrations.
