Today,
6-8-99, the crew started out by taking the excess dirt off of the black
plastic sheeting that had been laid down over the squares that were completed
last year.
These squares
were 10R160, 10R170, 10R180, and 10R190. Then we actually started
the initial excavations in a brand new square, 10R200.
After
learning the proper way to label bags, we sifted through some of the soil
and grass from our new square.
Denene
found our first artifact of the season.
This
is a stone gaming disk.
After
a hot morning we had gotten a lot done and decided to call it a day.
See
you tomorrow!
