WWC Archaeological Field School 2001
The Berry Site
Day 7, 6/05/01

The best way to describe today was hot! Temperature about 90 degrees with high humidity. It was extremely uncomfortable but everyone worked hard (and drank alot of water) and we got much work done. We now have 10 2x2 meter excavation units underway. We have completed troweling and photographing in several of them and have identified four features and more than 20 postholes.

We continue to find many artifacts and today Rachel found two small Mississippian arrow points. One was an unusual notched-style.

Rachel Horn shows notched-Mississippian point from unit N886E190.
