
Applying to the Art Program
First year students who are interested in applying
to the art major are encouraged to take Design, Drawing I, Art History
I or II, Ceramics I, Sculpture I, Papermaking I, Bookforms I, or
Photoshop I. These are all courses without pre-requisites that can
be taken prior to formal admission to the major.
To be eligible for formal admission to the art
major, a student must meet the following requirements:
- completed 28 credits (sophomore standing)
- GPA of 2.8 or better
- completed the following courses with a grade of B- or better:
- Design
- Drawing I
- Art History I or Art History II
