Information for Prospective Riders
Thanks for your interest in the Warren Wilson Mountain Bike Team. We are a fully supported Varsity Cycling Team that races in the South Eastern Collegiate Cycling Confrence (check out the SECCC website) every fall. Though the team is very competative we always have new and inexperienced riders come out and ride with us; everyone is welcome. Some riders choose just to come to our practices during the season which include campus and area rides, while others race throughout the fall on the Collegiate circut in cross-country, short track, dual slalom, and downhill races. Since its inception the team has consistantly qualified for the National Championships, and we have earned the silver medal at the Collegiate National Championships in Division II for five years in a row. The Asheville area is home to some of the best riding in the country, something we take advantage of throughout the year, and for the gravity riders we have skills course on campus to practice daul slalom riding.
