About Us
One of the most popular ways to assist students is to serve as a Warren Wilson Career Network Volunteer through OWLink . Career mentors are willing to talk to current students about their career field, to share advice and information, and to help facilitate networking. Typically, this involves one or two conversations with a student. If both you and the student prefer, you may talk more frequently or over a longer period of time. While most alumni in OWLink are willing to talk to students when contacted, many students are hesitant to call alumni without some prior indication that the person is willing to be contacted. Consequently, students appreciate alumni who have indicated their interest in serving as a career mentor. In addition, Career Services maintains a LinkedIn Career Connections site that also serves as a vehicle for social networking around careers. Join both and maximize your networking opportunities.
