As a student at Warren Wilson College, Christine fully embraced herself in the work program by working throughout the year, spending a majority of summers and semester breaks on campus. She also participated in an internship at NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher. After Warren Wilson, Christine went on to receive a Masters of Environmental Science from Yale University.

Christine has worked with the Georgia Coastal Research Council, which is overseen by the Marine Sciences Department at the University of Georgia. There she worked as a regional programs coordinator for the Southern Atlantic Regional Research Project, the Coastal Water Quality Monitoring Metadata Project; the Southeast Marine Debris Institute, and the Governors’ Alliance advisory team. She is currently a Program Coordinator at the University of Georgia's College of Marine Sciences.
