After spending my senior year in France, studying Frech existentialist literature and working as property manager of an old abbey, I moved back to Boulder, CO, where I worked for two years as assistant director of a small non-profit organization. The organization, Colorado Youth Program, runs a triad-based curriculum of environmental education, outdoor recreation, and service learning through residential summer camps and school-year programming. Uniquely, all programs are offered either fee of charge or on a sliding scale so that all youth may become involved, regardless of socio-economic status. Currently, I am living in Christchurch, NZ, studying towards a MA in Postcolonial Pacific Literature and Environmental Philosophy. I hope to earn a PhD in the coming years and plan on teaching abroad at an anglophone university.
