William Hamilton '99

Current Job: Farmland Program Director

William Hamilton is a native of western North Carolina who graduated from Warren Wilson in 1999. He went on to receive his Master’s Degree in Forestry, and joined the staff of Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy as the Farmland Program Director in 2005. He specializes in working with families, individuals, and institutions to preserve their farms by navigating the process of completing agricultural conservation easements.


During his time at Warren Wilson College, William majored in Environmental Studies with a Concentration in Forest Management and worked on the Natural Resources Crew as the Field Supervisor from 1999 to 2001.
William enjoys life in the mountains of Western North Carolina with his wife Molly, daughters Anne and Evva, and son Hythe.
