The goal of the Summer Stipend program is to provide Warren Wilson students the opportunity to gain valuable experiential educational opportunities. The stipends offer monetary support for students accepting low or unpaid summer internships in the non-profit and governmental sector.
Awards of up to $2,000 will be given through the competitive process described below. While the student may not yet have been selected for the internship, they must apply with a specific internship in mind. However, if awarded, the stipend award may not be transferred to another internship.
The Internship Program Advisory Committee—a group of Warren Wilson faculty, staff and students—will review all applications and select award winners.
Understanding that internship opportunities arise at varying times, the Internship Program Advisory Committee will grant at least half of the awards during the first round of applications, but will hold funds in reserve for the second deadline.
First deadline: March 1st, 2014
Second deadline: April 1st, 2014
