MISSION STATEMENT

 The Office of Multicultural Affairs seeks to create a campus-wide climate of respect. We advocate for the promotion of a culturally diverse and nondiscriminatory campus community, which prepares students in the pursuit of lifelong learning. The Office is available to assist all students regardless of race, gender, religion, disability, sexual orientation, and national or ethnic origin. The Office of Multicultural Affairs fosters an inclusive system and climate within the campus community, it's designed to ensure an inclusive educational experience that values individual differences. We strive to create an environment where human and cultural differences are celebrated. Our office endeavors to enhance the campus community through collaborative programming, integrative planning, teaching, and community outreach. 

 

GOALS

Provide opportunities for seminars, off -campus experiences, speakers, cultural celebrations, workshops and training. These programs explore and support the intellectual, social, cultural, political and spiritual development of the entire campus.

 Prepare all students to function effectively in an evolving, pluralistic and increasingly diverse society and promote the development of a climate in which diversity is respected, valued and appreciated by all members of the college community.

Support the academic, social, cultural, educational, and professional growth and development of the entire Warren Wilson campus community, creating a welcoming environment.

Provide support to groups and organizations whose interests and goals are consistent with those of the Office of Multicultural Affairs.
