Welcome first year students considering application to the Emerging Leaders Program for 2010-2011. The following information is provided to help you with the process of considering and applying for the program.

Please note that for consideration to the Emerging Leaders Program, all application materials, including short answer application form, two recommendation forms, and current resume are due by the deadline of NOON, February 26, 2010. Applicants selected to interview for the program will be selected that afternoon, with interviews taking place Wed - Fri the following week, March 3-5. See details below. Select your recommenders as soon as possible to give them time to do their part. Students do not need to be nominated to apply.

Resume Preparation -- Introductory Workshops
Career Services is offering introductory resume workshops in the Laursen
Conference Room at the following times to support students applying for
the program:
Monday, Feb. 15, from 7 - 8 p.m.
Tuesday, Feb. 16, from Noon - 1 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 18, from 8:30 - 9:15 a.m.
Friday, Feb. 19, from Noon - 1 p.m.
Applications for the 2010-11 Emerging Leaders Program Available
Emerging Leaders is currently accepting applications for the 2010-2011
cohort until Noon, Friday, February 26th.
Emerging Leaders is a program that identifies and supports promising
first year students through leadership development during their second
year at Warren Wilson College. Emerging Leaders cultivate their
leadership focus and skills within a positive, supportive, and
reflective community of peers. In addition, students meet with change
agents in Washington, DC, to learn about influencing national and global
policy. The goal of the program is to encourage Emerging Leaders to
demonstrate effective leadership on campus and beyond.
Participation in Emerging Leaders requires attendance at a weekend
retreat (April 2-3, 2010), as well as a commitment to engage in
development opportunities throughout the sophomore year.
Information Sessions are being offered on Monday, Feb. 15, from Noon - 1
pm, and on Tuesday, Feb. 16, from 5 -6 pm, both in Mierke B.
