The instruction offered in the fencing class is an ongoing process, with each week's lessons building on the previous classes.  Because of this, it is recommended that anyone interested in fencing attend one of our introductory workshops.  If that is not possible, the prospective fencer should attend club meetings regularly in addition to the class, so that other students can help bring the new fencer up to date.

The instructor teaches basic foil fencing in classical French style. Once a student has a good understanding and practice of those basics, instruction may be offered in classical French epee or classical Spanish saber fencing.

Whenever possible, terms and theories relating to the coming lesson will be posted to this site.  The contents of this page will be updated frequently.  Students are encouraged to check this site weekly.    When a document relates to the coming class, the title of that document will be posted to the fencing mailing list, fencing-l.

Each document will open in a new window to make printing a bit easier. Please close the window when you're finished in order to return to this page.
