What We Do

The fencing club studies and practices the art of fencing in two major forms: Modern or Collegiate sport fencing of the sort you would see at an Olympic competition, and Historical or Renaissance fencing, which is used by several historical reenactment and recreation organizations throughout the world. Instruction is also available in Classical form fencing.

There are generally three recognized schools of fencing, those being French, Italian and Spanish. During our fencing class, we use a blend of the three schools, with the focus on the French and Spanish techniques. We also use drills and training techniques from the lesser known but equally valid Russian and German schools of fencing.

But most importantly, we have a great time.
