The aid that is offered from our office is need-based, which means that it is contingent upon the FAFSA results. The FAFSA can be filed any time after January 1st using the previous year’s tax information at www.fafsa.gov. You must file the FAFSA in order to be considered for a federal student loan and tne need-based MFA grant.
In order to be considered for a need-based MFA Grant, your FAFSA must be processed by April 15th for the July-December semester, and by October 15th for the January-June semester.
If you would like to be considered for a need-based grant, please keep in mind that once you submit the FAFSA, it can take up to 5 days to be processed! Please plan accordingly and don’t wait too long to file!
PLEASE NOTE: In the 2012-2013 school year, SUBsidized loans werediscontinutedfor graduate students. For 2013-2014, students will be able to accept UNsubsidized loans that will equal the total amount of aid previously available for both loan types.
