If Warren Wilson students love anything as much as Work and Service, it might be dancing! It is one of the easiest ways to meet other students and also residents of Swannanoa, Asheville and greater Western North Carolina region.
Students don their best duds and gather in a totally transformed Gladfelter for the Winter Formal.
Gladfelter was so pretty that night!
The Wellness Crew offers free Salsa lessons every Wednesday.
Contra dancing is an Appalachian tradition. Lucky for Warren Wilson students, the longest-running dance in the country is held right on campus: The Old Farmers Ball. Escape your homework, get some terrific exercise (you aren't doing it right if you don't leave the dance hall drenched in sweat!), and experience a bit of mountain culture. Plus, students only pay $1 for admission instead of the community rate of $6!
