You could try these interdisciplinary, full-text periodical databases which cover almost any subject area. There are over 20,000 full-text journal titles in these four databases:

History Resource Center: World collection of reference, full-text articles from leading scholarly publications, an array of primary sources, images, maps and charts which provide expansive geographic and chronologic research materials for the study of world history.

JSTOR--The Scholarly Journal Archivecontains complete backfiles of key journals covering archaeology, anthropology, and history--an incredible resource.

ScienceDirect indexing and full-text access for over 2,000 journals in health and life sciences, physical sciences and social and behavioral sciences. Also includes over 3,000 e-books in these fields.

AnthroSourcefrom the American Anthropological Association (AAA), AnthroSource brings 100 years of anthropological material online, including: current issues for 15 of the AAA's most critical peer-reviewed publications, including American Anthropologist, American Ethnologist, Anthropology and Education Quarterly, and Medical Anthropology Quarterly; includes an electronic archive of all AAA journals.

America History & Lifea great index--abstracts only (no full text)--that covers pre-history to the present for the U.S. and Canada.

Historical Abstractscovers world history (excluding the U.S. and Canada, which are covered in America: History & Life), but only back to around 1450.

Other Possibilities:

Biological & Agricultural Indexindexes periodicals in life sciences and agricultural subjects. Index only (no full text).
BioOnebioscience research journals focusing on the biological, ecological and environmental sciences.
AGRICOLAfor all things agricultural. Good for topics in early agriculture, domestication of plants/animals, etc. Index only (no full text).
Annual Reviewssee "Social Sciences," including "Anthropology".
Newspaper Source Plus Selected national and international newspapers such as the New York Times, Washington Post, News & Observer, Charlotte Observer, and more.
The New York Times Historicalthe leading national newspaper, with full coverage back to 1851.
