Interlibrary Loan OverviewInterlibrary Loan (ILL) is a cooperative service among libraries which allows current WWC students, faculty, and staff to obtain books and journal articles that are unavailable in our library's collection. We do not usually accept requests for audiovisual materials. Before requesting an item from Interlibrary Loan, please check our holdings to be sure that it is NOT available in our library. To submit an interlibrary loan request, fill out an online form found on the Library Home Page under Library Services (select either Interlibrary Loan or Online Forms.)
Most requests are usually available from free suppliers, but delivery time varies according to availablilty and location. Requests submitted with complete and accurate information can be processed more quickly, but please still allow at least ten days for delivery. You will be notified when your interlibrary loan material is ready for pickup at the Circulation Desk. Photocopies of articles do not have to be returned. For books and other items that must be returned, the lending library determines the due date and all interlibrary loans must be returned on time to avoid endangering the library's borrowing privileges. Library patrons with any overdue library materials or unpaid library charges are not eligible for interlibrary loan privileges or any other library services. If you have any questions, please contact Heather Stewart Harvey at email@example.com, 771-3062, or stop by the ILL office on the main level of the library. WWC faculty, staff, and students are also eligible for Cooperative Borrower cards to borrow books yourself from other MCLN libraries and UNC-A. Ask for these cards at the Reference Desk. You can get library cards for the Asheville Buncombe Library System (public libraries) at the main Pack Library or any of the branches.
