
Maud Casey is the author of the novels The Shape of Things to Come, a New York Times Notable Book, and Genealogy, as well as a short story collection, Drastic. Her stories have appeared in The Threepenny Review, The Gettysburg Review, Prairie Schooner, The Georgia Review, Five Chapters, The Normal School and other literary journals. Her essays and book reviews have appeared in The New York Times Book Review, Washington Post Book World, Salon, Poets and Writers, and Literary Imagination. She received the Italo Calvino Prize for excerpts from her current novel. She lives in Washington, D.C., and teaches in the MFA program at the University of Maryland.
