Margot Livesey
is the author of a collection of stories, Learning By Heart, and six novels: Homework, Criminals, The Missing World, Eva Moves the Furniture, Banishing Verona and The House on Fortune Street. She received her BA (English/Philosophy) from the University of York, and has taught at Carnegie-Mellon University, Williams College, the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, Boston University, and Emerson College. She has received grants from the NEA, the Massachusetts Artists Foundation, the Ontario Arts Council, and the Guggenheim Foundation. She is currently a writer-in-residence at Emerson College in Boston. The Flight of Gemma Hardy will be published in February, 2012.
