Dr. Milton Crotts

Dr. Milton Crotts holds both Bachelor and Master of Music Education degrees from UNC Greensboro and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of South Carolina. As Music Director for the Guam Symphony from 1984 through 1999, Dr. Crotts was awarded three Governor's Arts Awards for Music and received the Governor's Lifetime Achievement Award. In 1999 he was nominated for the National Medal for the Arts and was included in the 2000 Who�s Who Among American Teachers. Milt has conducted orchestras in the U.S. and Japan, including the Tokyo Symphony, Tokyo Memorial Orchestra, and Tokyo City Philharmonic. His former academic appointments include Associate Professor of Music at Davidson College and the University of Guam. He now lives in West Asheville with his wife Joanne and daughter Jillian.
