The Coriolis Effect and the rotation of hurricanes and cyclones
The photograph above shows the deflection of a frictionless air puck on a rotating table. A better discussion may be seen in the next animated page. This photo was an experiment conducted in May, 2004 by the Warren Wilson Physical Science Class.
