The image at left is a video image of a single slit diffraction pattern. The image shows lots of optical "noise" due to small dust particles on the optical elements and the nature of laser light. To see the average horizontal profile (intensity vs. horizontal distance) use Graphical Analysis, load the data file from G:\physics\oneslit\oneslit.dat.
