A New Face for InterFaith Online
The old version of IFO is pictured below and to the right.
The page was designed early in 1999 to house student papers for the Pluralism project affiliation program at Warren Wilson College. The page seemed great at first, but, as the amount of text grew, it quickly became plain that the site was impractical.
The previous version utilized technology, like Cascading Style Sheets, that is only accessable to modern browsers, and the attempt to maintain two versions, one for old browsers and one for new, proved too tedious. The old site was also simply rather ugly and poorly built. The color scheme was loose and clashed, the site was littered with broken image symbols and dead links. IFO v2.0 has been designed to look and operate like the modern information resource that it is, though it is not without its faults.
The best way for a website's creator to learn how to better address his
audience is to hear from them. If you experience any problems with this website, then feel
free to mail me about it. I will do my best to cater this website to as broad an audience as possible. Thank you in advance for any comments, and I hope you enjoy the new page!
