Knit For Nancy

Who is Nancy? Nancy represents any woman or child living at the safehouse of Helpmate, Asheville’s domestic violence shelter.

How to get involved: Knit or crochet warm items, such as hats, mittens, scarves, and socks, for the women and/or children living in the shelter. When you complete your items bring them by the RISE office in lower Dodge. We only accept items between October-January, as this is when warm items are needed.

If you need yarn or knitting needles, please come by the RISE Office in Lower Dodge.

You can receive up to 4 service hours per item, with a limit of 25 hours per year.

Look out for a Knitting Circle after Thanksgiving break!

We will be accepting donations between now and Friday, December 10th.
