Our partnerships with area organizations are critical to our service program. We value relationships with partners that are mutually beneficial, fulfilling your mission and immediate needs and our educational goals while building a stronger, healthier, more just community.
Every WWC student engages in the community as part of their educational experience, completing our community engagement commitment before graduation. Our students are enthusiastic and enjoy working in a variety of issues areas. We view our partners as co-educators, who not only provide meaningful opportunities for our students, but also offer experiences that will inform students about the relevance of their work within the issue.
Through the Service Program Office we organize regular service activities for students in five different issue areas:
* Food Security
* Housing and Homelessness
* Race and Immigration
* Youth and Education
We also advise and connect students who would like to do service on their own with community partners working in other issue areas. We maintain an agency directory to guide our students as they explore opportunities in our area. Please review the directory, organized by issue, by clicking on the link in the sidebar on the left.
