Extended Service
The extended service project is a graduation requirement for all Warren Wilson students. In your extended service project, defined as 25 hours or more of service within a single issue, we invite you to explore what you have learned through this experience. Examples of issues include homelessness, hunger, and environment. The purpose of this project is twofold: 1) to push you deeper into insights about your service and 2) to give you an opportunity to share your insights with others.
To fulfill these purposes, we offer you two choices, a written analysis or an oral presentation, both of which must:
__ Provide analytical content about the issue, its context, and your own role
__ Articulate how your understanding of the issue shifted over time
To learn the specifics for the oral presentation click here. Also don’t forget you need to fill out a proposal if you are choosing oral. For written essays download the details here.
