Description of Agency: Here at Brother Wolf, we rescue dogs and puppies, cats and kittens from local shelters, owner surrenders, and those who are strays. By taking these animals into our homes, we are able to provide them with a loving, nurturing environment where we can learn a lot about a particular pet. We are also working closely with Buncombe County, and other animal rescue groups, in a program called "Save a Life" Campaign, whose goal is to end the euthanization of healthy adoptable companion animals in Buncombe County by the Year 2012. |

We're looking for folks to sort, price, and clean as loads of donations have arrived and need to be organized. Email janinebitz@yahoo.com for information.
Have experience selling on EBAY? Email happytails@bwar.org about holding online auctions to sell unusual or high-priced items.
Come join our cat team in caring for our cats and kittens while they spend a week in the Adoption Center at PetSmart. Volunteers scoop litter, provide fresh food and water, clean, and spend time loving and socializing the babies. Morning and evening shifts available. Please contact Peggy at peggyhodge@charter.net with questions or to sign up.
Help enrich the quality of lives of our shelter dogs while exploring beautiful WNC. Every Wednesday morning we'll meet at the shelter at 10am, leash up our furry friends, make sure we have plenty of water, and head out! (Note: You must be 18 years or older if you want to walk a dog alone). Email volunteer@bwar.org for details on this week's hike! We ask that you please leave your own pets at home - sorry!
Brother Wolf will have an information table, and maybe some dogs too, every Thursday evening. This is a great opportunity for a parent/child team to spread the word about BWAR to other potential young volunteers and raise awareness within our community. Anyone with a passion for sharing our mission with the children of the community, please sign up too! We're hoping for volunteers to sign up for 2 hours shifts, from 4-6 and 6-8, but, as always, you can stay the whole time. Email volunteer@bwar.org.
We are always looking for volunteers to come to set up, hang out, and break down at our PETSMART ADOPTION DAYS! At least 2 people to help set up and stay from 12-2, and at least 2 more people to be there from 2-4 and help breakdown. Email volunteer@bwar.org if you would like to help for any portion of the day or if you have any questions.
As always, we encourage you to COME BY THE SHELTER and help in keeping it a happy and healthy home for all of our animals... pick up some laundry to take home, give a puppy (or two) a bath, let the cats purr as you give them love, wash some dishes, play fetch in the yard, or take a lovely dog on a walk around the neighborhood. The choices are abundant, and the animals will be happy to see you!
