Youth and Teen Center:

Burton Street Center features an auditorium, game room, billiard room, arts and crafts room, a computer lab, a weight room and a kitchen.  The park surrounding the center features two basketball courts, a playground and a play field. Tutoring and mentoring sessions take place in the community center.

Peace Garden:

The Burton Street Community Peace Gardens were founded in 2003 by husband and wife pair DeWayne Barton & Safi Mahaba at a time when the community was confronting drug trafficking, crime and the I-26 Connector expansion.  With permission from the owners, they cleaned off a vacant lot on Bryant Street and started growing veggies for the community in a few small raised beds.
