The Bonner Scholar Work Crew is made up students who act as the representatives of the Service Program to the rest of the campus. Applications for current students are available at the office or online here. Applications for incoming students (new to WWC) are available here. We accept new crew members only at the start of the academic year. Responsibilities of crew members include:
Provide information and resources to the campus community concerning social and environmental issues.
Work in a specific issue area to organize, promote and facilitate community engagement activities such as weeklies, one-time trips and issue education workshops. The issue areas are: Environment, Food Security, Race & Immigration, Housing & Homelessness, and Youth & Education.
Maintain communication with community agencies and build positive partnerships.
Coordinate on campus events and educational programing.
The crew has a 2 year commitment. All crewmembers participate in the Bonner Community Leadership Program, which offers a wide range of trainings throughout the year and provides opportunities off campus, including conferences and summer internships. Students also have access to the Bonner AmeriCorps award. Please look at the service website for all the details http://www.warren-wilson.edu/~service/About/bonners.php or stop by and talk with the folks.

I've been on the crew since Fall of 2011. I am on the Food Security group, so I help plan all the events and trips that have to do with feeding others and ourselves well. I also lead the Black Mountain Community Garden trip out on Friday 1s, which I highly encourage if you like to garden. I'm attempting to create my own major in agriculture and community building. My roommate totally wants to date me. If you'd like to get ahold of me, contact at amartin@warren-wilson.edu anytime.

I have been at WWC since the fall of 2010 and have been on the SPO crew since the fall of 2011. I make advertisements for trips and events, and I tutor/mentor youth and inspire them to do wonderful things with their lives. It just so happens that I am a part of the youth and education issue area group! Upon graduating Wilson I plan to have a degree in Social Work. Year round I drive with the windows down through the cold, the wind and the precipitation. I really like fresh air. My email address is esprouse@warren-wilson.edu and I'm always around.

DEANNA DRAGAN |
Hi everybody! Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I have been on the crew since the Fall of 2011. I am the equivalent of a secretary in the office: mail, customer service, filing, entering service hours, taking notes at meetings, various office tasks, and blood drive coordination. I am not part of a particular issue area but I do lean toward the environmental issue group. I am planning on majoring in Environmental Studies but I am also interested in Psychology and Religious Studies. I have a very high caffeine tolerance. Contact me at ddragan@warren-wilson.edu or come by the office.
