Financial Resources for Study Abroad

Students participating in a study abroad program through Warren Wilson College retain their financial aid in most cases. Students who choose to study abroad through an external program option should be aware that their federal, state, and Warren Wilson financial aid will most likely not be applicable while the student is on a leave of absence. Students should contact the financial aid office for more details.

Financial aid may be available for qualified students through the following programs:

Fulbright Scholar Program

Gilman International Scholarship Program

National Security Education Program Fellowships

Bridging Scholarships for Study in Japan

Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarships

International Student Loan: Loans for U.S. students studying abroad

Sallie Mae Tuition Answer Loan: Loans for U.S. students studying abroad

Next Student: Loans for U.S. students studying abroad

In addition, study abroad program providers, such as SIT and CIEE, often offer a variety of financial aid options to students participating in their programs. We also encourage students to visit StudyAbroadFunding.org and the U.S. Study Abroad Scholarships and Grants List to explore additional funding options.
