Work Day 2006

What is Work Day?

On Work Day, Warren Wilson's community comes together to accomplish a number of work projects organized by students, staff, and faculty. The day begins with students spending the morning hours with their crew. After lunch, everyone meets in front of Gladfelter to begin the day's special projects.

The work is hard, fun, and fulfilling! After we work, we eat, listen to great music, and dance the evening away! Work Awards are presented during the picnic and lots of door prizes are drawn.

Projects from Work Day 2007 included:

~ Removed debris from dorm areas

~ Planted trees and shrubs in Kittredge parking area

~ Planted trees and shurbs around the President's home

~ Built steps for access to forest walking paths

~ Built path from pond to Kittredge
